Sherburne County voters eager to cast their ballots for the presidential nomination primary will have the opportunity to do so before the official March 5 voting day. The Sherburne County Auditor/Treasurer’s Office is set to administer absentee voting for all its residents, according to an announcement on the county's official website.
The absentee voting process is available at the government center located at 13880 Business Center Drive NW in Elk River, where individuals can conveniently cast their ballots during the usual business hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. To accommodate those unable to vote during the week, the office will also be ready to quickly serve voters on Saturday, March 2, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and on the eve of the primary, Monday, March 4, from 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
For residents preferring to vote by mail, the Auditor/Treasurer’s Office can be reached at (763)765-4351 or via email at [email protected] to facilitate the process. These alternatives are part of ongoing efforts to ensure that every voice has a chance to be heard in the electoral process.
The City of Elk River is further extending its support for absentee voting by enabling its city hall to act as an additional voting location. The site, located at 13065 Orono Parkway, will follow the same extended hours to better serve Elk River's citizens. Residents looking to obtain an absentee ballot or vote in person can call (763) 635-1000 for more assistance or information.
With multiple options in place, Sherburne County is actively working to ensure that its residents have ample opportunity to participate in this pivotal step of the democratic process. For more details on absentee voting, visit the Sherburne County website.
