Authorities are on the hunt for a suspect in a brutal stabbing that rocked East Palo Alto last week. The violent altercation took place on the corner of University Ave. at Bell St., sending shockwaves through the community. The East Palo Alto Police Department responded to the incident on February 8, around 8:25 pm, immediately launching an investigation into the vicious attack. The assailant remains unidentified, but witnesses have described him as a Hispanic male sporting a mustache obscured in the shadows of a dark hooded sweatshirt.

The call to action has been resounding, with the police department urging residents and witnesses to step forward with any information about the described suspect on the loose who may still pose a threat to the public — a community united now more than ever in the wake of violence. "We need you, our community, to help us identify the suspect," implored the East Palo Alto Police in a community update. The department has provided several avenues for people to submit tips anonymously, including an email to [email protected], a text message to 650-409-6792, or a voicemail to the same number, ensuring confidentiality for those who come forward.

Acting Detective Sergeant Klein is leading the charge on this case, the department's point person for information related to the crime. Concerned citizens with knowledge about the stabbing or any details that may lead to the apprehension of the suspect are encouraged to call Sergeant Klein at 650-833-9904.
