Chaos erupted at an El Cajon Game Stop when four teenage males, after a brief period of loitering, assaulted an employee and made off with a haul of video game consoles late Monday afternoon. According to the El Cajon Police Department's X post, the group coerced the store for about ten minutes before quickly shoving a display case onto an unsuspecting employee and grabbing several coveted gaming devices.

The nearby officers swiftly moved in to apprehend two of the subjects soon after the robbery, managing to quickly locate all of the consoles that the suspects had attempted to conceal hastily. "The El Cajon Police Department will use every resource available to hold criminals who commit these types of thefts accountable. Criminal acts will not be tolerated and will have consequences for those who commit them," El Cajon Police Chief Mike Moulton sternly stated. The apprehended teens were subsequently booked into Juvenile Hall as the search for the remaining two accomplices continued.
