A routine traffic stop on FM 1960 Road East yesterday led to the arrest of Erin Newsome, a suspect wanted on five active Class C Misdemeanor warrants, authorities said.
According to a Facebook post by Precinct 4, deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office conducted the stop in the 7800 block area. Five warrants were outstanding for their arrest.
The warrant roundup resulted in Newsome's apprehension and subsequent incarceration. "Erin Newsome was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the 5 Class C Misdemeanor warrants." Constable Mark Herman stated in the social media update provided by his office.
The specifics of the misdemeanors for which Newsome was wanted have not been disclosed, the procedure following such arrest entails a judicial review where the charges will be reiterated and potential bail set.
