
The Los Angeles Police Department and the concerned family of 71-year-old Young Bong Lee are reaching out to the public for help in finding the elderly man who's gone missing. Young, who suffers from Alzheimer's, was last seen in South Los Angeles and there's been no sign of him since February 16.
According to the LAPD Newsroom, Lee was spotted for the last time at 8:15 a.m., near the 7400 block of Broadway. Described as a male Korean, with white hair and brown eyes, standing five feet eight inches tall and weighing 127 pounds; his disappearance is causing distress among those who know him. He was wearing, a navy blue puffer jacket, gray pants, gray shoes, and a black baseball hat at the time of his disappearance.
Officials are urging anyone with information on Lee's whereabouts to step forward. The LAPD's 77th Street Community Police Station is the primary contact point, and they can be reached at (323) 786-5077. Concerned citizens can also report tips anonymously through L.A. Regional Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477) or visiting their website.
Additionally, those who prefer tech-based solutions can download and submit tips via the “P3 Tips” mobile application, selecting the L.A. Regional Crime Stoppers as their designated program. The family of Young Bong Lee holds on to hope, that the community will come together to aid in the safe return of their beloved family member.
