Eager to quickly bring relief, Austin-Travis County EMS dispatched multiple ambulances to the scene to aid the extrication process and provide medical care. A concerning number five people were caught up in the crash, with one adult in particular being rushed to St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center bearing serious, and possibly life-threatening, injuries. To hopefully prevent any further tragedy, firefighters had to forcefully pry patients from the crumpled vehicles to hand them off to the waiting EMS teams, as reported by KXAN.
Meanwhile, two other individuals sustained injuries severe enough to necessitate transportation to the hospital, though further details on their condition were not immediately available. While the actions of the firefighters and EMS technicians likely saved lives, two people seemingly decided to tempt fate and refused medical transport altogether, despite their involvement in the harrowing event.
