The footage, shared by the TCU Police Department, depicts the alarming early Monday incident involving two suspects attempting to breach a residence at around 4 a.m. in the 3100 block of Sandage Avenue, as per WFAA.
In the wake of these events, security measures have been ramped up, with TCU and Fort Worth police beefing up patrols in the concerned area, as they also issued an appeal to the public seeking information about the suspects the video is grainy but it is alarming, the TCU Police Department has provided a contact number (817) 257-7777 for those who might recognize the individuals involved. According to FOX 4, a TCU campus bulletin flyer that shows a still from the surveillance footage is circulating, explicitly urging the campus community to "remain vigilant and immediately report any suspicious activity to TCU Police."
Tracy Carter, a spokesperson for the Fort Worth Police Department, emphasized the weight of the ongoing investigation, "They are definitely aware, and our investigators are looking into it," and reaffirmed the solidarity between the two institutions, "The one thing about us, TCU and Fort Worth, we have a great partnership on both sides," she told FOX 4.
