After over a week on the run, a Georgia man surrendered to Coweta County authorities following a double stabbing incident. Felix Holloway, 51, was wanted for allegedly attacking his girlfriend and her family with a knife. According to the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office, Holloway turned himself in after being pursued by U.S. Marshals, as reported by FOX 5 Atlanta.
The violent outbreak occurred on Feb. 2, when deputies arrived at a residence on Lucious Johnson Road to find multiple stab victims. "The first victim was stabbed in the back of the head and had a small laceration consistent with a stab wound. The second victim, when he tried to interview, was stabbed in the arm," Investigator Chris Stapler detailed in a statement obtained by FOX 5 Atlanta. Officials believe Holloway accused his girlfriend of infidelity, which they think was the motive behind the attack; however, there was no evidence to support his claim.
Holloway now faces five counts of aggravated assault. His apprehension ended a tense search which initially turned up only his bloody clothes in a nearby wooded area, and his T-shirt along some railroad tracks. Following this discovery, the search effort included both K-9 units and drones, according to details from WSB-TV.
After the stabbings, Holloway fled on foot, leading to a search that spanned more than a week. It was suspected that he might have been hiding at a family member's house due to his strong familial ties in the area. The two victims, whose names haven't been released, were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Currently, Holloway remains in Coweta County Jail where he is being held without bond.
