Deputies from Harris County nabbed a suspected tipsy driver last week after pulling over a vehicle that was weaving down the Northwest Freeway. The Constable's Office, led by Mark Herman, reported catching Amanda Brenneman red-handed as she showed "multiple signs of intoxication" during a traffic stop in the 26300 block on February 24, 2024.
Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered on the spot, decisively pegging Brenneman as intoxicated. To add to the debacle, Brenneman blew a whopping 0.19 on the breathalyzer, according to Constable Mark Herman's Facebook post, cruising far past the 0.08 legal limit—in fact, more than double the threshold for legal impairment.
There was no get-out-of-jail-free card for this game of real-life Monopoly."Amanda Brenneman was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated. Her bond was set at $100.00 out of County Court 10." Herman's office confirmed in a statement.
