Tempers flared in the 300 block of North Vista Drive earlier this week when deputies encountered a man who attempted to thwart their response to a disturbance call. The incident unfolded on February 20th when Constable Mark Herman's deputies arrived on the scene and were met with resistance by a male who tried to shut the door on them, hampering their duty to ensure no one was injured or in danger.

Refusing to stand down, the individual, later identified as David Loaiza, became verbally aggressive and resisted commands directed at him by the deputies. Loaiza was subsequently detained after what became a heated confrontation.

According to a statement on the official Facebook page of Constable Mark Herman's Office, "David Loaiza was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Interfering with Duties of a Public Servant. His bond was set at $100.00 out of County Court 16."
