Early morning tensions boiled over when a male driver reportedly spat on a Harris County Constable deputy after being issued a citation following a two-vehicle crash. The incident occurred around 4:40 am on the 10200 block of FM 2920 Road, leading to the individual's arrest, as the Constable's office confirmed.
The suspect's interaction with law enforcement quickly deteriorated as he became uncooperative while receiving his citation, subsequently spitting on a deputy. According to an official Facebook post from Constable Mark Herman's Office, the incident led to the use of a department-issued taser to "safely apprehend" the unruly motorist.
Further details surrounding the crash that precipitated this confrontation are still forthcoming. However, the constable's office has announced that more information will be made available to the public once their investigation advances.
Authorities have disclosed that the suspect, whose name has yet to be released, was taken into custody and faces charges for his conduct.
