A Houston-area man was arrested for his third DUI offense after being found unconscious in his running vehicle, authorities said Monday. Phong Dinh Nguyen, discovered in the driver's seat on Marron Drive, was so impaired he couldn't complete field sobriety tests, according to Constable Mark Herman's Office.
Officers arriving on the scene at the 12900 block on February 10 found Nguyen with the car ignition on and the vehicle set to drive, his condition suggesting a severe level of intoxication. After failing to demonstrate the necessary mental and physical faculties to safely operate a motor vehicle, he was taken into custody.
In a post shared by Precinct 4 on their official Facebook page, they detailed the events leading to Nguyen's arrest. "Phong Dinh Nguyen was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, for his third offense of Driving While Intoxicated. His bond was set at $20,000.00 out of the 228th District Court." the post read.
