Houstonians are in for a treat with a burst of sunny weather bringing mild temperatures and low humidity this weekend, according to forecasts. The National Weather Service has stated today's high will hover around 76 degrees with a brisk north wind adding a bit of a chill. As night falls, temperatures are expected to drop to a cool 53 degrees.

Looking ahead to the weekend, Saturday should see sunny skies with a pleasant high near 78 degrees, calming down to a mild 54-degree night. Come Sunday, a high of 77 degrees and south winds picking up—gusting as high as 25 mph—are on the horizon. "Sunny, with a high near 77. South wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon," explained the weather forecast. The following Monday, temperatures will climb slightly higher to a cozy 81 degrees.

In a report from the Storm Prediction Center, no thunderstorms are anticipated this Saturday across the contiguous United States, offering further proof of the tranquil weather awaiting Houston residents. Except for a minute chance of isolated flashes near the SC/NC border, the outlook is clear and dry, which is somewhat unusual for this time of year.

According to a recent post on X from NWS Houston, "Cooler and less humid weather can be expected across SE TX today thru Saturday night." This welcomed front, following a cold frontal passage, signals a time to revel in the outdoors before the traditional heat and humidity of Houston reclaim their hold. Come Tuesday though, the city will see a return to a high near 80 degrees and breezy conditions, with cloud cover increasing into the midweek.
