
Firefighters battled a blaze that ripped through a two-story hillside home in Tujunga on Monday, with billowing smoke visible miles away. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, units responded to a call at 11:53 a.m. at 10231 N Silverton Ave. Flames were reported by first responders, who immediately went on the offensive to contain the fire.

Though the fire's ferocity was evident, the brave efforts of the LAFD personnel shone through the ordeal, as no civilian or firefighters injuries were reported at that time.
