Get ready to mark your calendars, music lovers, because the Sounds of Lewisville is dishing out its annual summer concert series—and this year, it's moving out of the scorch of summer and into the cooler vibes of May and June. Starting May 7, locals can expect to groove every Tuesday night in the quaint Wayne Ferguson Plaza, all thanks to some help from a bunch of sponsors, including City of Lewisville, Old Town Lewisville, and yes, even Mosquito Joe, among others.

For those who dig the open-air music scene, there's plenty to get amped about—a lineup that runs the gamut from tribute bands to original acts screams range, and with shows starting at 7 p.m., you've got no excuse not to come out and catch the openers before the main acts jam from 8 to 9:30 p.m. And for those furry best friends you can't bear to leave behind, leash them up because they're invited too; just keep 'em well-behaved, nobody wants a howling accompaniment.

According to the City of Lewisville's announcement, the party kicks off with The Elton Johns taking center stage, last year's People’s Choice Award winners, and continues through June with acts like Havana NRG! and Bidi Bidi Banda lighting up the stage. Plus, the series wraps with a bang on July 2, when ESCAPE—the Journey tribute band—steals the show before a sky full of fireworks erupts to celebrate Independence Day.

Oh, and don't worry about going hungry or thirsty, food and beverages will be available for purchase, so let your taste buds celebrate summer too. And since this whole shindig is free, it's really a no-brainer for those lazy summer Tuesdays when the only tough decision should be what to munch on while bobbing your head to some killer tunes. Be sure to follow Wayne Ferguson Plaza on Facebook for any updates, they'll let you know if there's a curveball in the lineup or if the weather decides to play spoiler.
