Young artists are stealing the spotlight in Lewisville as the annual LISD High School Art Show kicks off tonight at the Lewisville Grand Theater. This artistic display, a showcase of select pieces from high students across the district, is a feast for the eyes at 100 N. Charles Street, running through Feb. 24, according to the City of Lewisville, Texas.
This year's exhibition has been meticulously chosen by a jury, with the Visual Art League sweetening the pot with prizes for the standout works. But the creative train doesn't stop there, no—the middle schoolers get their moments to shine with their show from March 1-23. It's followed by the LISD Elementary-West students' artwork on display from March 28 to April 13, and the Elementary-East kids wrapping it up from April 18 to May 4.
Mark your calendars, because all parts of this creative jamboree will light up the Gallery at The Grand. Open for the public from Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and also in the evenings when other events fire up at The Grand, the community can feast their eyes on the blossoming talent. Heads up, art lovers—The Grand Gallery rests on Sundays and Mondays.
And let's not forget that these little artistic shindigs are all part of the bigger picture—the "Old Town" Big Move—a key aspect of the Lewisville 2025 vision plan. Curious minds can get the full scoop online at the city's website. So go out there, support the young artists, and maybe even take a piece of the future home with you.
