A hail of bullets ended the life of a young man in Panorama City, an incident that has since left the Los Angeles Police Department canvassing for leads. According to a statement from the LAPD, the male victim, aged 24, was received by officers with multiple gunshot wounds on the 9000 block of Van Nuys Boulevard, in the early hours of February 8.
The response to what was initially an "Ambulance Shooting" call occurred at 12:07 a.m., where the victim was then quickly moved to a local hospital. Despite the efforts of the Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics, the man's injuries proved fatal, and he was later pronounced dead at the hospital. A report by KTLA indicated that the man was walking down the street when a white Cadillac sedan approached, two individuals exited the vehicle and commenced firing.
After the shooting, the suspects re-entered the car and sped away from the scene. The victim, whose identity has been withheld, was just 20 years old. The motivation for the crime is still unknown, and there have been no further suspects named in this case.
