
Tragedy struck a Houston neighborhood this weekend as one man was left dead and another critically injured following a shooting on Saturday evening. Police responded to a distressing call at about 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of 8300 Wilcrest Drive to find two males suffering from gunshot wounds on the sidewalk. While medical responders declared one man deceased at the scene, the other victim was rushed to a local hospital and is said to be in critical condition.
Authorities have not yet released the name of the 26-year-old deceased as they await verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The conditions surrounding the violent occurrence remain a mystery; as of now, police have neither a motive nor any suspect(s) in their sights. The investigation continues under the guidance of detectives from the Houston Police Department's Homicide Division, namely H. Martinez and S. Chettry.
