A man has fatally been shot in a southwest Atlanta home, according to police reports. The incident occurred Tuesday night on Orlando Place SW, where Atlanta officers discovered a 41-year-old male victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The name of the decedent has not been released pending family notification.
The Atlanta Police Department confirmed to FOX 5 that officers responded to the scene shortly before 7:15 p.m. After arriving, they found the victim critically wounded. He was quickly transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Authorities are now to thoroughly investigate the circumstances leading up to the fatal event.
