
Chaos struck a Beacon Hill neighborhood last night when a 42-year-old man found himself the target of a violent confrontation, resulting in gunshots and head trauma. According to the Seattle Police Blotter, at around 8:00 p.m., Seattle police rushed to the scene following alerts from the Seattle Fire Department of a man with a gun wound.
The incident unfolded in the 5500 block of 35th Avenue South where police found the wounded man suffering from a gunshot to the leg and an injury to his head. Despite the serious nature of his injuries, the Seattle Fire Department's timely aid ensured he was in serious, but stable condition before his rush to Harborview Medical Center. The man recounted how the altercation escalated outside his RV, with the aggressor bashing him in the head with a stick and then proceeding to shoot him in the leg, before making a getaway on foot, Seattle Police Blotter reports.
The investigation has been picked up by the Gun Violence Reduction Unit whose detectives made their way to the hospital, diving into the events that precipitated such violence. Efforts to identify the suspect are underway as the detectives piece together witness accounts and any available evidence from the scene.c
