Hoping to plant the seeds of homeownership, the City of Marietta and Catholic Charities Atlanta are teaming up to give potential buyers a crash course in buying their first home. The City, utilizing its Community Development Block Grant funds, has announced a two-part First-Time Homebuyer Seminar slated for Monday, March 4 and Wednesday, March 6, both kicking off at 5:00 p.m.
The online workshop is designed to demystify the homebuying process for novices, with expert guidance on navigating loans, credits, down payments, and the preparations for owning a place of your own. Space for the event is capped, so the aspiring homeowners are encouraged to hop on the bandwagon and secure their spots quickly.
In a statement from the City’s official website, the seminar aims to cover everything from loan programs available to would-be buyers, to the essentials of credit scores, educating attendees on the critical components of successful homeownership.
Marietta officials and Catholic Charities representatives stress the importance of such educational initiatives; they believe informed buyers are the bedrock of stable communities, and these seminars are a stepping stone toward that stability—with cash-strapped citizens often overwhelmed by the complexity of homebuying, seminars like these can offer a beacon of clarity in the turbulent seas of real estate.
