Downtown San Antonio is now waking up to a new flavor as the Pink Shark bar introduces a breakfast menu to complement its eclectic atmosphere and inclusive vibe. Known for its friendly and energetic service, the Pink Shark has extended its offerings to include morning treats such as bagel bites, smoothies, juices, and, for those looking to kick-start their day a little differently, morning cocktails. According to a KENS 5 interview with co-owner Amber Hernandez, the expansion into breakfast was a thoughtful response to downtown's dynamics, catering both to tourists and local professionals desiring healthier options and San Antonio's flair.

The bar, which swings open its doors at 8 a.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. on weekends, now offers an array of breakfast delights, aiming to draw not just the night-time crowd but also early birds and remote workers looking for a space to work with the perk of free Wi-Fi. According to Express News, customers can now choose to slowly savor the likes of the "Cowabunga" bagel, garnished with cream cheese, pepperoni, and spicy toppings, or drink their greens with vibrant juices like "It's Always Sunny in SA."

In a statement obtained by KENS 5, Hernandez revealed the meticulous process behind the new breakfast menu, involving "a lot of trial and error" and a period of six months to transition thoughts into tangible items. The Pink Shark boasts signature bagels named Cowabunga, Love You Berry Much, Apple Cinnamon, Hippie, and Jalapeno Popper, each highlighting different ingredients such as bacon, berries, and avocados. Hernandez's personal pick? The Love You Berry Much bagel.

The duo who also own Picks Bar and The Sore Loser have made sure to include a drink for every palate. Options range from invigorating smoothies like "Morning Glory" to robust sips like N. Presa Coffee. And, for those needing somewhat of an extra kick, alcoholic beverages such as the classic Bloody Marys and mimosas are readily available. As detailed by Express-News, "Shark Hour" starts at 1 p.m., offering enticing deals on food and drinks and paving way to a transformation into a live music venue as the sun sets.

Pink Shark sets to further expand its footprint in San Antonio's downtown scene with plans to unveil an additional room by Fiesta. Described as "a different concept for down here" by Hernandez in a chat with KENS 5.
