In a bust at a local Walmart, constables nabbed a pair of alleged thieves caught skip-scanning goods at the self-checkout register. The incident occurred on February 16 at the big box retailer's location on the 21100 block of Kuykendahl Road, where deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office swooped in after being alerted to the theft.
The suspects, identified as Thamais Lee and Chloe Triggs, were detained after they reportedly failed to pay for items worth over $429.00 during their checkout process. Loss prevention personnel at the store were the first to spy the alleged misdeed, notifying law enforcement promptly of the in-progress theft, said the constable's office.
Lee and Triggs faced swift justice following their apprehension, with Constable Mark Herman's office ultimately slapping handcuffs on the duo. "Thamais Lee and Chloe Triggs were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Theft," Herman declared in a statement. Their bonds were posted modestly at $100.00 each, assigned by County Court 12. The details of the these were posted on the constable's office facebook page just two days later.
