A Perris man was snagged on Friday after a drug raid turned up a colorful stash of lethal fentanyl pills, meth, and cash. Miguel Angel Lopez, 43, now finds himself behind bars on a litany of charges, stemming from the bust at his 1000 block Ruby Road home, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department reported.

Detectives, sinking their teeth into a weeks-long investigation, arrested Lopez for his alleged involvement in fentanyl sales. The narcotic squad, which included deputies from the Perris City and Perris County Special Enforcement Teams, discovered more than just drugs. They seized ballistic panels, ammo, and a collapsible baton, adding a layer of disturbing findings to the case.

Lopez was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center on various charges, including possession for sale of a controlled substance, child endangerment, and being a felon in possession of ammunition and body armor. According to a statement obtained by the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, deputies also found a 12-year-old child in the house—alone and in close quarters with the narcotics—now placed in the care of a relative.

Anyone with details about Lopez or any other suspects involved has been urged to reach out to Deputy D. Soto of the Perris Sheriff's Station by calling 951–210–1000 or visiting their website, as noted in the announcement from Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
