An ongoing investigation has revealed a shootout that saw four individuals on foot at the corner exchanging gunfire with occupants of a vehicle speeding south down Zane Ave N, a confrontation that appears to have been as sudden as it was dangerous, according to an alert from the Hennepin County Crime Stoppers.
No injuries have been reported in connection with the incident thus far, a stroke of luck given the potential for harm that such public displays of gun violence inevitably carry, Hennepin County Crime Scene Deputies were on the scene shortly thereafter, meticulously processing the area for evidence that might shed light on the identities of those involved or their reasons for trading fire.
The authorities are urging anyone with information about the shootout or the individuals involved to come forward, in hopes that collective community effort can help prevent such dangerous displays of lawlessness from becoming the norm on the streets of this suburban community.
