
A man was fatally stabbed in Long Beach, and detectives are now on the hunt for the murderer. The Long Beach Police Department reports a grim discovery in the early hours of Thursday morning, following a call about a man in urgent need of medical assistance.
Officers arrived at the 1300 block of Long Beach Boulevard around 4:37 a.m., where they found the 35-year-old victim suffering from multiple stab wounds to his upper body. Despite the efforts of first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene by Long Beach Fire Department personnel, as detailed in a press release from the Long Beach Police.
The identity of the victim, a 35-year-old male, remains unconfirmed until the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner completes identification and notifies his next of kin. The suspect, believed to have fled before law enforcement's arrival, remains at large.
Investigating officers suspect that the fatal encounter may have stemmed from a dispute or altercation with the suspect or suspects. They are urging anyone who witnessed any disagreements or was involved in one around the 1300 block of Long Beach Boulevard in the predawn hours of Thursday to come forward with information.
