A San Antonio man faces serious charges after police arrested him for allegedly sexually assaulting a 14-year-old relative.
20-year-old Christian Uriel Garcia-Cruz was charged Saturday with three counts of sexual assault of a child, the beginning of a legal odyssey that tears at the fabric of presumed protection within a family's embrace, the teenager's mother became the witness, the whistle-blower to the alleged transgression. According to Fox San Antonio, the mother reported witnessing her daughter engaged in a kiss with Garcia-Cruz which escalated to a call to authorities.
During the encounter with the law, truth sought to veil itself; Garcia-Cruz first denied the more severe allegations, admitting only to the act of a kiss, but the confrontational power of documented statements and dates led to a different tale being told. Eventually – confronted with evidence – Garcia-Cruz admitted to law enforcement to have sexual intercourse with the young victim three times following his relocation to San Antonio from Mexico two months ago, the arrest report detailed.
