The Scott County Sheriff's Office has made moves to bolster its leadership ranks, recently promoting three employees within its communications and healthcare divisions. Veteran dispatchers Michael Barth and Breanna Giebel are now Dispatch Supervisors, while Laura Perkins has been named the new Nursing Supervisor in the Jail, as reported by Scott County, Minnesota.

Barth, with a hefty 24 years in Emergency Medical Services under his belt, is transitioning to the role of Dispatch Supervisor after having served as a Critical Care Paramedic and a Flight Paramedic. With his five years in the Scott County 911 Dispatch Center, he's expected to bring a wealth of experience to the supervisory table, according to the announcement on Scott County's website.

Hoping to further her career, Giebel has also been elevated to the role of Dispatch Supervisor, stepping into leadership after five years on the dispatch team and a background in education. Recognizing her contribution to the training program, Sheriff Luke Hennen expressed confidence in her new capacity, stating, “We're thrilled to see Michael and Breanna stepping into leadership roles within our Dispatch Center".

Similarly, Laura Perkins brings nearly three decades of nursing experience into her new role as Nursing Supervisor. Her promotion reflects a longstanding commitment to correctional nursing and the skills essential for providing healthcare in such a challenging environment. “Their contributions are invaluable to our team, and I have every confidence in their abilities to excel in their new positions,” Hennen said, as per Scott County, Minnesota.
