A tragic incident on the Northwest Freeway has resulted in the death of a tow truck operator while he was performing his duties. The Harris County Sheriff's Office reported that the operator was in the process of loading a vehicle when he was struck by another vehicle at 15218 Northwest Fwy (290).
Initially, after the accident, which occurred on an unspecified date, the driver of the tow truck was said to be in fair condition. However, "during ambulance transport, his condition deteriorated," according to a post from Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. The victim, whose name has not been released, was later pronounced deceased. The Sheriff's Office issued a statement conveying their condolences to the man's family following the devastating event.
