In a brazen mid-afternoon burglary, a transient man and an unidentified woman busted into a Rancho Cucamonga health store and made off with a chop saw. The duo hit HealthVere at 4:00 p.m. on January 20, breaking into the store located at 9083 Santa Anita Avenue, but fled when an alarm went off.

Caught on camera speeding away in a blue Toyota Tacoma, Chad Carpenter, a 45-year-old transient, has been nailed down by the law enforcement up in Big Bear on unrelated charges. The female suspect, an approximately 30-year-old Black adult, who helped Carpenter in the theft, remains unidentified and at large, escaping the grasp of the authorities as of now, according to Rancho Cucamonga Police Department.

The incident, which was immediately flagged by the triggered alarm system, has led to a substantial search for the remaining suspect. Carpenter, now sitting behind bars for the commercial burglary, was nabbed on January 26, thus putting an end to his involvement in this and possibly other crimes scattered across the Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino Counties, as reported by the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department.

Investigators are urging anyone with insights into the burglary or the whereabouts of the female accomplice to step forward and contact Detective E. Getts at the Rancho Cucamonga Station, reachable at (909) 477-2800.
