
A wild car chase through the streets of Mesquite ended in a crash and led to the arrest of two youths on Thursday after a vehicle, reported stolen out of Dallas, was wrecked by its fleeing driver, police officials said. The Mesquite Police Department recounted that officers engaged in pursuit of the car following notification of a carjacking in Dallas, the chase subsequently ended when the suspects managed to momentarily elude the authorities.
The escapade came to a jarring halt at the junction of Town East Boulevard and Galloway Avenue where the stolen vehicle collided with another, though it appears no one was injured in the other vehicle the suspects themselves attempted to continue their escape on foot; however, they were ultimately apprehended by the law enforcement, according to details provided by a FOX 4 News report. Charged with committing armed robbery in Dallas will be 20-year-old Juan Ramirez and 19-year-old Damien Odin as per police statements, their legal woes compounded by charges in Mesquite for evading arrest, theft, and failing to leave identification at the crash scene.
