Victorville residents were left in shock on Sunday when they had to detain a man who was caught exposing himself outside a home in their neighborhood. The incident, which took place in the 12100 block of Cordero Road around 2:21 p.m., quickly escalated when calls to 911 reported a female screaming nearby.

Deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff's Station rapidly responded to find D’Audre Sumbry, 28, being held by locals. According to witnesses, they had to quickly act to detain Sumbry who was found committing an indecent act. The man, identified as a Los Angeles resident, has a history of similar offenses and was in breach of parole at the time of the arrest, as confirmed in a statement obtained by the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department.

Not only was Sumbry booked for indecent exposure, but he is also facing charges for failing to properly register as a sex offender – a requirement given his criminal history. Currently, he is being held without bail at the High Desert Detention Center due to the parole violation.

Investigations into the disturbing incident continue, and officials urge anyone with further information to reach out to Deputy Christopher Padilla at 760-552-6800 or to report anonymously through We-Tip at 800-78CRIME or their website.
