A Warren man is set to face a judge in a high-stakes murder trial for the brutal killing of his wife, officials said. Ricardo Orozco, aged 56, was arrested after his wife, Genoveva Ortega-Valdivia, 42, was found fatally stabbed in the backseat of their car. The grim discovery was made on September 30 last year at a local gas station, where Orozco was found sitting in the driver’s seat of the bloodied Dodge Durango.
After being charged with a second-degree murder in October, Orozco was bound over for trial by a Macomb County judge on January 30, confirming there was sufficient evidence to proceed.
