
In a grim early morning turn of events, a woman lost her life in a single-vehicle crash in El Cajon, police reported yesterday. The accident, involving a white 2004 Toyota Tacoma, occurred on West Bradley Avenue around 1:19 AM on February 25.
The 37-year-old female driver, whose identity has been confirmed but not released, was found deceased at the scene by first responders. Investigations indicate she was headed westbound when her vehicle collided with a parked semi-truck trailer, which was unoccupied at the time.
Officials are in the process of notifying the victim's family and have not disclosed her name publicly. The cause of the accident is still under review, with uncertainty surrounding the role that drugs or alcohol may have played. The incident, as it stands, did not involve any other moving vehicles, according to a statement by the El Cajon Police Department.
