The Antioch Police Department reported a devastating collision that claimed the life of a 20-year-old motorcyclist. According to the press release, the accident occurred at W 4th Street and "L" Street.
The incident, which took place at around 5:39 PM, involved the motorcyclist riding southbound on "L" Street at a high rate of speed, disregarding a stop sign. The rider's dirt bike collided with a white van, resulting in serious injuries for both parties. Authorities arrived within moments of the crash and found that, despite their rapid response and immediate life-saving efforts, the young motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The 52-year-old van driver was rushed to a local hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
