A tragic scene unfolded on March 22 as a 4-year-old girl was killed in a traffic accident involving a truck in Long Beach, the local authorities reported.
The Long Beach Police Department stated that the accident happened around 6:58 p.m. near 55th Way and Paramount Boulevard. According to a statement obtained by the Long Beach Government website, a 25-year-old male, whose name has not been released, was behind the wheel of a 2020 Ford F-150 traveling eastward when the vehicle struck the child as she crossed the street.
Arriving officers discovered the child lying in the road and immediately attempted life-saving measures while transporting her to a local hospital. Tragically, the young pedestrian did not survive the injuries sustained from the collision. The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the subsequent police investigation.
