An Anaheim man has been apprehended and charged in connection with the killing of a 72-year-old woman, local police reported. The Anaheim Police Department announced that 66-year-old Raymond Craft is behind bars, facing murder charges after a woman was found dead in her home on the 100 block of Spruce Via on February 26, 2024.
Responding to a call at approximately 1:17 p.m., officers discovered the victim, whose name has yet to be released pending family notification. An investigation by the Orange County Coroner's Office concluded that the victim had been assaulted and ruled her death a homicide. In a painstaking push for answers, detectives spent over a week piecing together evidence before pinpointing Craft as the person responsible for the heinous crime.
Craft was tracked down and arrested in the City of Fullerton on March 7, according to officials from the Anaheim Police Department. He was promptly booked for murder and is currently being held on a one million dollar bail. It remains unclear what connection, if any, Craft had to the victim.
