
Austin residents kicked off their workweek with a burst of stormy weather, as a line of showers and thunderstorms swept through the area early Monday morning. Although these storms were not severe, they delivered a quick downpour of 0.25" to 0.75" of rain in certain locations before giving way to clearer skies, according to KXAN.

Following the storms, the city braced for strong winds, with forecasters at the National Weather Service predicting gusts as high as 30 mph. After the late morning's stormy farewell, Austin can expect a gradual clearing with temperatures reaching a comfortable high near 78 degrees, as reported by the National Weather Service. The wind, picking up speed by mid-morning, is set to swing west-southwest later in the day, potentially reaching gusts of up to 30 mph.
Looking ahead to the coming days, cooler temperatures are on the horizon for Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs of 68 and 71 degrees, respectively. While the skies will mostly be sunny and clear, there's a slight chance of showers midweek, particularly Wednesday afternoon when the overall chance of precipitation stands at a slight 20 percent as per the National Weather Service.
Residents looking forward to the Easter weekend can anticipate drier weather with a warming trend. It's going to be mostly sunny with less wind later in the week, and by the time Sunday rolls around, the mercury is going to reach a high near 86 degrees. There's also a forecast for mostly clear skies as the weekend progresses, ensuring that the Easter festivities are less likely to be hampered by weather disruptions, confirmed by the KXAN forecast.
