Despite a damp forecast, the annual Easter egg hunt in Roslindale Village this weekend was anything but soggy. Officers from the Boston Police Department's District E-5 turned out in force to join in the festivities, interacting with families and handing out treats to the delight of children eager for Easter surprises.

Local merchants played their part, distributing toy-stuffed eggs for kids to find, and they weren't the only ones giving back. The Easter Bunny made an appearance, much to the excitement of the young participants. Alongside them, Davey the Clown entertained with balloon animals and face painting, adding a splash of color to the gray day. According to the BPD news release, "It was a great way to get in the spirit with the kids, and for our officers to make some new connections in the community."
