Tonight, the skies will clear as temperatures dip to around 44 degrees. Meanwhile, a "definite chill in the air" as locals wrap up their spring break and return to the daily grind, as per KXAN. The northeast wind is expected to keep the weather cool, with gusts picking up to 20 to 25 mph during the afternoon.
A subsequent warm-up with Tuesday and Wednesday seeing partly sunny skies and highs in the mid-60s, while a light wind shifts from the south southeast. By Thursday, temperatures are set to climb to a high near 77 degrees, although there is a 40 percent chance of rain showers and thunderstorms likely marking the end of the brief wet spell by evening, as reported by the National Weather Service.
Austin residents can look forward to mostly sunny days to round out the week, with highs peaking in the mid to upper 70s. KXAN notes that after experiencing highs in the low to mid-60s for the next three afternoons, the weekend heralds warmer weather. Under partly cloudy skies, the temperature on Saturday aims for the upper 70s, followed by around 80 degrees on Sunday amidst more cloud cover.
