An event aimed at arming Brooklyn Park parents and community members with critical knowledge about internet safety has been put on ice due to Mother Nature's frosty touch. The Internet Safety Presentation, originally scheduled for Monday evening at the Brooklyn Park Police Department Training Room, has been scrapped because of severe weather conditions sweeping the area, officials announced.
The informative session was slated to run from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., targeting an audience eager to learn about protecting their loved ones in an increasingly digital world. However, the icy grip of winter intervened, forcing a reschedule. "Due to inclement weather conditions, we regret to inform you that the Internet Safety Presentation...has been canceled," a notice posted on the city's official communication outlet on March 25 stated.
The organizers are determined to ensure that the presentation's crucial message reaches the public, despite the untimely weather hiccup. A new date for the event will be announced, as they work to reschedule this important discussion to equip parents and community members with the tools they need for safeguarding against cyber threats.
Residents who had planned to attend Monday's now-canceled presentation are advised to stay alert for updates. "We will reschedule this important presentation on internet safety for parents and community members at a later date. Please stay tuned for updates on the new schedule," the notice detailed. In the meantime, with the weather conditions being less than favorable, the Brooklyn Park Police Department is urging locals to stay safe and warm during this period.
