A gun scare rattled residents of The Eden Park Apartments in Brooklyn Park when a shot was fired through an apartment floor on Saturday evening, according to police reports. At approximately 7:23 P.M., officers responded to the incident at the 6300 block of Zane Ave N after receiving reports of gunfire, according to the Brooklyn Park Police Department.
The Brooklyn Park Police Department confirmed that the singular gunshot originated from the apartment directly above where the damage occurred, though no injuries were reported from the event, as law enforcement quickly moved to secure the scene, it could have easily turned tragic. Officials detailed that upon their arrival, a male subject exited the target apartment and was promptly detained along with others found inside, as per the Brooklyn Park Police Department.
Detectives have since executed a search warrant on the premises as part of their ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the gunfire. The department has not yet disclosed any findings from the search or any potential charges facing the detained individuals, as reported by the Brooklyn Park Police Department.
