A desperate search is underway in Carroll County for a missing woman, whose disappearance has sparked urgent concern from officials and family members alike, according to local authorities. Samantha Tolbert, a 46-year-old resident, vanished under mysterious circumstances, and her family says they have been unable to reach her and are fretting over her well-being.
The Carroll County Sheriff's Office, which has been leading the investigation into Tolbert's disappearance, disclosed that there is a fraught history of domestic violence involving Tolbert and her late husband, Jerimmie; their last domestic incident was reported in November 2022, before deputies found Jerimmie dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on March 7 at their residence on Tyus Carrollton Road FOX 5 Atlanta reported. Tolbert, who stands at 5 feet 4 inches and weighs approximately 165 pounds, is known for her naturally red hair, which she frequently dyes blond, the Sheriffs' office described, her current whereabouts, however, remain a mystery, bolstering fears regarding her safety.
The search for Tolbert is complicated by the fact that authorities believe she is not using a vehicle to travel and does not have a cellphone with her, potentially limiting her ability to reach out for assistance or to be traced.
