Sheriff Luke Hennen, quoted in a statement released by the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, expressed these sentiments: “This is a tragic incident, and our thoughts are with the friends and family of the victim.” He added that the case is still under investigation and that no further information would be disclosed until potentially revealed in the County Attorney’s charging documents.
Help arrived at the scene from neighboring law enforcement agencies, including the Prior Lake Police Department and Allina Ambulance Services. These details were confirmed by the official Scott County Sheriff’s Office announcement. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension along with the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office are working in tandem to uncover the full narrative of the night's tragic event. Positive identification of the victim and the exact cause of death will be made by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office in due time.
