Hippity, hoppity, Easter's on its way to Culver City with an egg hunt spectacle that promises fun for the whole family. Veterans Memorial Park is set to transform into a whimsical playground for the "Spring Egg-stravaganza" on March 23, from 9 AM to 12 PM. Event organizers are gearing up for a day packed with carnival games, and egg hunts based on age group, and, of course, no Easter event would be complete without a photo-op with Mr. Bunny.
The community's littlest members, aged 0-2, kick off the egg-hunting at 10:00 AM, followed by the 3-4 age bracket at 10:20 AM, the 5-7 crowd at 10:40 AM, and the 8-12 squad at 11:00 AM. And it's not just the kiddos getting in on the fun — teens between 13 and 17 are invited to volunteer, earning some good karma alongside their sweet treats. Those interested can email [email protected] or dial (310) 253-6716 for more info. But remember folks, registration is a must for the egg hunt, so hop to it, and don't get caught with an empty basket.
Given the limited parking situation at the park, located at 4117 Overland Ave., city officials are encouraging everyone to think green. Carpool, bus, bike, or take a stroll if you're nearby. It's not only good for the planet but could be easier than finding a needle in a haystack—or an open parking spot during a popular community event. Registration can be completed online or in person at the registration office, which is open most days of the week, with details available at Culver City's official website.
Looking forward to a day chock-full of glee and goodies, Culver City is beaming with community spirit. Don't miss out on the chance for your kids to scramble for eggs and make some cherished springtime memories. After all, as the old saying goes, you have to crack a few eggs to make an omelet—or in this case, to fill an Easter basket to the brim.
