Though they might have to wait until after 2 p.m. on Monday for it, Dallasites could be in for a spot of rain with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. The cloudy weather will bring slightly warmer temperatures with a high near 83 degrees. According to the National Weather Service, Monday night will see an increase in the chance of precipitation with showers and thunderstorms likely, particularly between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m.

The likelihood of rain will taper off heading into Tuesday with only a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8 a.m.. Residents can expect a cooler day with sunny skies and a high near 67 degrees. North northwest wind will make its presence felt, blowing at 15 to 20 mph, and could gust as high as 30 mph.

The rest of the week is shaping up to be mostly clear and sunny according to the forecast. The National Weather Service predicts highs will gradually climb from 69 degrees on Wednesday to 76 degrees by Friday, setting the stage for what could be a pleasant weekend ahead.
