Dearborn Public Library Hosts Teen Art Contest & Show for Local Youth to Showcase City PrideSource: Facebook/Dearborn Public Library

The Dearborn Public Library is calling upon local creatives ages 13 to 18 for the "What Dearborn Means to Me" Teen Art Contest & Show. Submissions are open and hopefuls can enter their artwork by completing the online entry form provided by the library.

Painting, a sculpture, or maybe a snapshot that captures the essence of Dearborn are all welcome at the Henry Ford Centennial Library until 8 p.m. on April 1. The library's doors will only consider the pieces that arrive in time. Selected pieces will be competing for prizes and bragging rights in the theme-focused contest.

This artistic showdown is set for Tuesday, April 30, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the library's home turf, 16301 Michigan Ave. After the artistic dust settles, the winning works will make their debut in the HFCL Rotunda gallery for the public to admire, and attendees can rock the vote for their favorite teen-created art.

Anyone looking to get the skinny on this event should head straight to the Dearborn Library's website or dial-up 313-943-2345 for the lowdown. To stay in the loop, keep an eye on Dearborn Public Library's Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for the latest scoop on programs and updates.
