A Grand Rapids woman is facing charges after a stabbing incident that took place in Barry County, Michigan, over the weekend. The altercation occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday at a residence on Noffke Drive in Thornapple Township, according to state police.
Upon arrival, Michigan State Police found two individuals with non-life-threatening stab wounds: a 64-year-old man who resided at the home, and a 41-year-old woman from Grand Rapids, FOX 17 reported. After receiving treatment at a local hospital, both were released, however, the woman was subsequently arrested on multiple charges, including assault with intent to do great bodily harm. The man, was not arrested.
The state police have not released details about what led to the stabbing but have confirmed that the incident remains under investigation. The 41-year-old woman now faces substantial legal repercussions following the dispute that spiraled into violence, as documented by WZZM 13.
