Euless, Texas police are on the hunt for slick car thieves who pulled off a late-night heist, swiping a vehicle from a local apartment complex. The black 2011 Hyundai four-door vanished between the shadows of 10:30 PM and 11:00 PM on February 27, near the 300 block of Vine Street, according to the Euless Police Department.
The disappeared car soon reappeared but with an unwelcome twist. The thieves, described as multiple unknown suspects, were caught on camera using the victim's credit card for purchases at an Irving convenience store on the 3300 block of W. Walnut Hill Lane. Despite the setback, the vehicle was later recovered unscathed, found by Irving Police Officers in the 1200 block of Docanster Street on March 2. The owners, while relieved, still faced the aftershock of stolen peace of mind and, a violated sense of security.
Investigators have turned to the public for help, releasing surveillance footage in the hopes that someone might recognize the suspects behind the theft. The Euless Police Department urges anyone with information to come forward and contact Detective C. Smith at (817) 685-1538 or shoot an email to [email protected]. Taking back the night from those who would lurk in its cover, the department stands resolute in its effort to serve justice.
