The latest episode of Fayetteville's CityVision Podcast is making the rounds online, putting the spotlight on the city's recent achievements and the comprehensive Fayetteville Strategic Plan. City officials joined the show to reflect on a productive 2023 and to lay out their vision for the future.
On the podcast, City Manager Ray Gibson and Assistant City Manager Alan Jones cracked open the city's triumphs, which included the Fayetteville Fire Department's bump up to a Level Two ISO rating and the Fayetteville Police Department proudly securing state and national accreditation. The duo went on to highlight the city's robust calendar of events from the past year and the push to not only bring but to keep talent within the city's workforce. "We capped the discussion with an overview of the Fayetteville Strategic Plan," Jones told host Michael Stuart, according to the City's website.
Apart from civic updates, the show welcomed an unconventional feature—the “Awkward Trio” from Awkward Brewing. Owners Amanda and Andrew Poliak, together with manager Harry Stanley, joined Stuart to share tales of the brewery's genesis, its move from Washington to Fayetteville, and its place in the local Historic Downtown District.
